The creation of more states in Nigeria caused Ogbaru towns and villages to be zoned to different states, namely Anambra, Delta and Rivers States. However, the dispersion of Ogbaruans to these different states did not undermine our identity, nor our resolve to remain united. This relationship significantly illustrates our strength. It is our intention to build on this strength.

OGBARU NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, USA
Our Association is made up of volunteers who have decided to join our organization in pursuit of our noble cause to facilitate unity of all Ogbaruans in Diaspora and actualize the dreams of developing the Ogbaru Nation. Ogbaru National association serves as the launch-pad for this vision.
We have engaged in several projects, which include the construction of boreholes to provide water to some of our Ogbaru communities in Nigeria, and some of our members donated chairs and tables to some schools in Ogbaru as well.
Our current program is the Ogbaru National Association Scholarship Program, which was initiated in September 2010. Our members have recognized that the future of Ogbaru lies in the hands of an educated citizenry who can effectively compete to bring resources to the homeland. The organization is offering scholarships to students in Nigerian tertiary Institutions studying engineering, social/medical sciences, and liberal arts. We hope to expand this program and consolidate on the progress made. We also hope to investigate and invest in other areas of vital needs of our people within the capacity of our resources.
